HR Business Partner

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; on-site. Travel of up to 20% may be required to support project sites, regional offices, and industry events across the United States.

What you will do

• Advise operations leaders on workforce strategy, organizational design, project mobilization, demobilization, and succession planning.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on project staffing, workforce forecasting, relocation, per diem, and assignment-based hiring.
• Guide managers through coaching, performance management, discipline, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Support compensation structures, salary bands, incentive programs, performance reviews, and employee development planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and federal contractor requirements.
• Drive engagement, retention, onboarding, leadership development, and HR support across dispersed project teams and worksites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent progressive HR experience.
• At least 4 years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed, multi-site, or project-mobilized workforces.
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and HR best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an HRIS platform such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or a similar system.

Nice to have

• Experience in EPC, construction, energy, utilities, or another project-driven environment.
• Experience supporting field operations, safety-related matters, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes.
