Sr. Customer Identity Engineer (CIAM)

Location: Home-based remote role associated with Oak Brook, Illinois, United States. Infrequent travel of less than 10%, occasional after-hours work, and infrequent on-call support may be required. Relocation is not provided.

Salary: $100,200–$134,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement, configure, maintain, and operate customer identity and access management services on PingOne and PingOne DaVinci.
• Build authentication policies, DaVinci orchestration flows, account lifecycle automation, and access provisioning workflows.
• Onboard applications, APIs, and services into the customer identity ecosystem.
• Establish secure integration patterns using OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, REST, and JSON.
• Monitor and optimize authentication performance, error handling, capacity, and platform reliability.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management while serving as the escalation point for complex authentication issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in identity and access management, including at least 2 years focused on CIAM or authentication systems.
• At least 2 years of hands-on production experience with PingOne and PingOne DaVinci.
• Strong knowledge of OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, SCIM, cloud security, and API integration principles.
• Proven scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, or comparable tools.
• Experience troubleshooting complex cloud and hybrid authentication environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software or computing engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Ping Identity certifications, including PingOne or DaVinci.
• Experience with adaptive MFA, risk-based access, or passkey authentication.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, GitHub, Terraform, and infrastructure as code.
• Exposure to ITIL, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and audit support.
