Base salary: $163,700–$336,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the multi-year strategy, target architecture, governance, and migration roadmap for enterprise data, AI, BI, semantic-layer, and data marketplace platforms.
• Establish reference architectures, standards, reusable frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, testing harnesses, data contracts, interoperability patterns, and platform reliability controls.
• Build and govern platforms for GenAI and agentic AI, including model access, gateways, retrieval, orchestration, tool calling, memory, human-in-the-loop controls, lifecycle tooling, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Lead Responsible AI, data governance, catalog, lineage, access governance, security, audit, model risk, regulatory, and compliance controls.
• Modernize legacy warehouses, mainframe extracts, ETL tools, reporting marts, and reports while managing cloud FinOps, vendors, investment cases, cost savings, and risk reduction.
• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary organization through AVP/Director-level leaders, define the operating model, and advise executives, the Board, regulators, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, and technology, including 8+ years leading large, multi-disciplinary technology organizations and 5+ years at AVP level or above in an enterprise of comparable scale and complexity.
• Hands-on-credible expertise in at least two of Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft, including an enterprise-scale implementation, migration, or consolidation.
• Experience delivering GenAI and/or agentic AI capabilities to production in a regulated enterprise, including MLOps/LLMOps tooling, evaluation, monitoring, and governance controls.
• Deep expertise in enterprise, data, and AI architecture, including conceptual and logical data modeling, integration patterns, lakehouse and warehouse design, event and API architectures, semantic layers, and LLM and autonomous-agent architecture.
• Experience establishing and operating AI governance and Responsible AI frameworks and technical controls with Model Risk Management, Legal, and Compliance.
• Experience leading organizations of 10+ people, including architects and modelers, through multiple management layers, and transforming legacy skills to modern platform skills.
• Financial acumen, including multi-million-dollar technology budgets, cloud FinOps, vendor negotiation, and business-case development with measurable value delivery.
• Exceptional executive communication with Boards, executives, regulators, and engineers.

Nice to have

• Insurance or financial services experience, ideally in group benefits, life, disability, absence management, or supplemental health, with familiarity with insurance data domains and regulations.
• Experience with data governance, catalog, and MDM platforms.
• Experience with enterprise BI platforms, internal data marketplaces, or data-product operating models.
• Familiarity with emerging agentic standards and AI offerings from Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, and leading model providers.
• Experience modernizing mainframe or on-premises warehouse environments to cloud platforms in a large enterprise.
• Relevant certifications.
• Experience with global or multi-country technology organizations and offshore/nearshore delivery models.
