System Architect (A-GRA/CCA)

Location: Arlington, Texas, United States. Onsite duties are performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility. The role requires overtime on and off shifts and 24x7 on-call support. Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements, and eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Lead systems architecture design for Collaborative Combat Aircraft operator training programs.
• Apply Autonomy Government Reference Architecture principles to autonomous training capability development, integration, and evaluation.
• Define system interfaces, integration frameworks, operational concepts, requirements decomposition, system behaviors, and verification strategies.
• Collaborate with operators, instructors, software developers, hardware engineers, cybersecurity specialists, certification authorities, and program stakeholders.
• Lead system integration, testing, validation, trade studies, and technical decisions across simulation, live, and blended training environments.
• Develop product line roadmaps, coordinate technology insertion, identify technical risks, and mentor engineering staff in MBSE and digital model governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, computer engineering, computer systems engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 8+ years of systems engineering experience involving military aircraft, CCA, mission systems, or advanced simulation and training systems.
• Experience with Autonomy Government Reference Architecture and CCA mission or flight autonomy.
• Strong MBSE experience with tools such as Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or SysML, plus experience leading architecture development for multidisciplinary systems.
• Experience with aircraft system integration, avionics interfaces or mission system architectures, systems engineering processes, interface control, verification and validation, and configuration management.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, MIL-STDs, training system standards, AR/VR environments, DIS/HLA protocols, UDP/TCP, MIL-STD-1553, and ARINC.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in systems engineering or a related discipline.
• Enterprise-wide MBSE experience on a military aircraft program.
• CSEP or equivalent INCOSE certification.
• Experience architecting high-fidelity flight or mission simulation systems.
• Knowledge of digital engineering ecosystems, integrated digital threads, synthetic environments, constructive simulations, or distributed mission operations; active Secret clearance.
