Systems/Technology Analyst - Financial Management System Consolidation Analysis & Roadmap (Financial Management Systems)

Location: Remote; role supports DoD/DoW and Federal Government initiatives

What you will do

• Assess current-state financial management systems, applications, databases, integrations, interfaces, and technical architectures.
• Analyze application portfolios to identify redundancies, consolidation opportunities, modernization options, technical debt, and interoperability risks.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements, solution designs, architecture recommendations, and implementation approaches.
• Develop current-state and future-state architecture models, data-flow assessments, integration strategies, and technology modernization plans.
• Create consolidation and transition artifacts, including data migration plans, system transition strategies, decommissioning checklists, integration approaches, and technical sequencing plans.
• Collaborate with functional analysts, enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and government leadership while preparing executive briefings and decision-support documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, engineering, business, finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in systems analysis, enterprise architecture, technology modernization, or digital transformation.
• Experience evaluating financial management systems, enterprise applications, APIs and web services, databases, data architectures, integration platforms, and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong understanding of systems analysis methodologies, solution architecture principles, requirements analysis, and implementation planning.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, understand client needs, and work independently or collaboratively.
• Experience with federal government agencies is required; DoD, Defense Agency, or other Federal Government experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or PeopleSoft.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and cloud modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of TOGAF, FEAF, DoDAF, Zachman, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience with system consolidation, migration, shared services transformation, governance, and system lifecycle management.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or SAFe.
