Head of Product (AI)

What you will do

• Work directly with bookkeepers, agency owners, and IT providers to understand how money moves through their businesses and translate those insights into product opportunities.
• Own the product roadmap, prioritize input across teams, make tradeoffs explicit, and move initiatives from discovery through release and adoption.
• Write clear product specifications, maintain a dynamic roadmap, and balance impact, effort, and strategic goals.
• Use product data, define success metrics before launch, and stop initiatives that do not deliver results.
• Build AI features for financial workflows with confidence thresholds, review loops, and easy undo mechanisms.

Requirements

• Experience leading a team of product managers, setting direction, developing people, and owning product outcomes through the team.
• 6+ years of product experience, including at least 4 years in startup environments and significant experience in B2B SaaS.
• Strong hands-on data skills, including independently pulling data and forming product judgments; SQL is a plus.
• Practical AI experience and ideally experience shipping AI features in products where errors have meaningful consequences.
• Ability to learn complex domains such as billing, payments, accounts receivable, and accounting, and explain them simply.
• Evidence-based decision-making, accountability for mistakes, and the confidence to defend well-supported decisions.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, billing, payments, accounts receivable, invoicing, accounting integrations, or vertical SaaS for service SMBs.
• Experience with SMB and B2B workflows, especially for service providers.
