SAP ABAP Consultant

Location: Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra, Portugal; hybrid work with 1 day per week in the office

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs across FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HR modules.
• Build custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflow solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with functional consultants.
• Optimize ABAP code for efficiency, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
• Support SAP and non-SAP integrations using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and OData services.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across development and production environments and contribute to end-to-end project improvements.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of classic ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Experience with ABAP CDS Views, RAP, or S/4HANA development.
• Understanding of the SAP enhancement framework, BADIs, and user exits.
• Proficiency with debugging tools and performance-tuning techniques.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly.
