Intelligence Analyst

Location: Hybrid role based primarily at the Parklands, Bolton office, United Kingdom. Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00, 35 hours per week with one unpaid lunch hour.

What you will do

• Analyse motor fraud, credit hire, employers’ liability, public liability, and complex injury claims.
• Research desktop systems and other resources to identify intelligence that validates or rules out concerns and detects potentially fraudulent information.
• Compile reports and profiles on individuals and groups involved in suspected fraudulent activity.
• Prepare witness evidence, statements, reports, and pictorial materials for civil court proceedings.
• Produce fraud risk assessments, intelligence briefings, and reports in line with the Intelligence Cycle and National Intelligence Model.
• Present findings to lawyers, clients, file handlers, and other internal or external customers while meeting chargeable targets and service levels.

Requirements

• Understanding of the legal framework governing the disclosure of intelligence.
• Ability to draft comprehensive, professional reports and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Advanced use of IT applications for intelligence reporting, including iBase, i2 Analyst’s Notebook, and Excel.
• Confidence liaising with clients and presenting reasoned, logical arguments.
• Ability to work independently, think innovatively, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Basic commercial awareness and a professional telephone manner.

• Experience mentoring trainee analysts or supporting colleagues through informal guidance.
