Counter Fraud Investigator

Location: Sevenoaks, UK, with hybrid working

Salary: £26,350–£34,800 per year, plus up to £2,000 performance-related bonus once established in the role.

What you will do

• Manage and investigate a portfolio of suspect motor insurance claims from cradle to grave.
• Assess intelligence, claims referrals, and investigative information to determine appropriate case outcomes.
• Develop investigation strategies and provide clear instructions to investigative service providers.
• Manage claims in line with handling procedures, counter-fraud strategies, company protocols, and service-level agreements.
• Maintain accurate and productive investigation outcomes while minimising claims leakage and maximising savings or repudiations.
• Identify process improvements and contribute to the development of the counter-fraud team.

Requirements

• Good understanding of claims handling, including indemnity, liability, credit hire, property damage, first-party, and bodily injury claims.
• Sound technical judgement, portfolio management skills, and file discipline.
• Strong organisational, negotiation, customer service, and independent working skills.
• Understanding of intelligence and investigative tools used to validate claims.
• Ability to give clear and concise instructions to service providers.
• Applicants must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; visa sponsorship is not available.
