Senior Manager Project Management, TIDES Discovery (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Remote in the United States, home-based on the East Coast; up to 10% travel within the United States or to China.

WuXi TIDES is a contract research and development manufacturing organization providing discovery, CMC development, and manufacturing supply-chain services for oligonucleotides, peptides, and related synthetic conjugates.

What you will do

• Lead project initiation, planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery from proposal through completion.
• Define project objectives, timelines, deliverables, tasks, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress, report status to stakeholders, and implement corrective measures for project risks and challenges.
• Manage client communications, project meetings, agendas, minutes, and action-item follow-up.
• Evaluate project results and recommend improvements for future programs.
• Support business development through customer visits, conferences, trade shows, quotations, proposals, and change orders.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotech experience in discovery chemistry; additional experience in pharmaceutical or CRO/CMO environments is specified in the education and experience criteria.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Project, and experience creating plans to solve complex problems.
• Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences, preferably chemistry; prior project management or external research collaboration experience.
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required; the role is restricted to the United States and requires a home-based East Coast arrangement with up to 10% travel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of current regulations and industry trends for oligonucleotides.
• Solid-state peptide experience.
• Experience in a CRO or CMO.
• PMP certification.
• Experience in API process R&D and manufacturing or drug product R&D and manufacturing.
