Quality Assurance Engineer Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Johnson City, Tennessee, United States

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead quality engineering activities and promote product quality and a quality-first culture across the site.
• Maintain compliance of the Quality Management System with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements, including audits and procedural controls.
• Drive failure analysis, root cause and corrective actions, key process indicators, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee quality engineering staff and Lean practices while reducing scrap, rework, and customer quality escapes.
• Coordinate warranty, repair, design release, manufacturing engineering, tooling, and technical writing activities.
• Develop Quality Engineers and collaborate with production, operations support, and offshore operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering or another technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of hands-on quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of management or related leadership experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 compliance, internal and external audits, and root cause corrective action.
• Understanding of Quality Management System requirements, budgets, risk calculation, and matrixed stakeholder communication.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 5% and access U.S. export-controlled information.
