Backend Engineer - Acquisition (Java/Spring Boot)

What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services for customer acquisition and clean energy products across Europe.
• Create well-designed, documented APIs and maintain clean, approachable backend architecture.
• Integrate third-party providers and transform external data into domain-specific models.
• Build feedback loops using data from installed heat pumps to improve internal tooling and products.
• Contribute to planning, survey and design, or market expansion teams covering scheduling, route optimisation, 3D modelling, thermodynamics, pricing, conversion flows, and new-market launches.

Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Strong understanding of databases, domain-driven design, and microservices architecture.
• Experience building and documenting APIs.
• Ability to turn ideas into clean, testable, and scalable software services.
• Willingness to participate in team discussions and take responsibility.

Nice to have

• Experience in fast-growing companies.
• Experience with gRPC, tRPC, Kafka, Kotlin, React, Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform.
