Program Officer, Instructional Design & Multimedia

Location: United States Remote; required domestic travel up to 20%

What you will do

• Design multilingual, self-paced learning journeys for newcomers, including objectives, sequencing, knowledge checks, and reinforcement.
• Establish and apply instructional design standards for Settle In content and review materials created by team members, subject matter experts, and contractors.
• Create short-form videos, infographics, motion graphics, and social media assets for web, mobile, and social platforms.
• Manage post-production, including Adobe Premiere project organization, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, exporting, compression, and archiving.
• Coordinate voiceover, subtitling, translation review, user testing, and feedback across multilingual teams and projects.
• Track production timelines, contractor work, platform data, user insights, content goals, and performance reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of professional experience combining instructional design and multimedia production for diverse populations.
• Experience designing self-paced learning for adults and working with e-learning tools.
• Advanced video editing and graphic design skills using Adobe Premiere, Adobe InDesign, and Canva; familiarity with social media platforms, especially Facebook.
• Working knowledge of plain language, digital accessibility, captions, alt text, and screen-reader compatibility.
• Experience with project monitoring and evaluation, complex project coordination, external vendors, and translating technical information into clear visual learning content.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Dari, Pashto, Spanish, or Haitian Creole.
• Experience with refugee resettlement, immigration pathways, or ORR-funded programs.
