TL;DR
Senior Design Release Manager (Aerospace): Owning manufacturing dossiers and product transfer gates for composite airframe structures with an accent on design for manufacturability, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and configuration control. Focus on integrating manufacturing constraints into early mechanical design, managing engineering change orders, and releasing high-performance defense hardware to production.
Location: On-site in Lausanne, Switzerland
Company
hirify.global is a next-generation defense prime developing autonomous and scalable defense systems for allied forces.
What you will do
Own and maintain complete manufacturing transfer dossiers for designated composite airframe modules, including drawings, bills of materials, material specifications, critical characteristics, and acceptance criteria.
Integrate design for manufacturability and design for assembly into early mechanical design reviews, optimizing composite layups, bonded joints, tooling interfaces, and tolerance stack-ups.
Set release standards and act as the final authority for product transfer gates from engineering to manufacturing.
Manage engineering change orders, drawing dispositions, non-conformance reviews, and design clarification requests from production.
Align design decisions with production operations and external suppliers, and use production feedback to improve dossiers and release standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
Practical mastery of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance stack-up analysis, and acceptance criteria definition.
Strong knowledge of composite materials, layup sequences, tooling limitations, cure cycles, and bonded structural joints.
Experience owning released drawing packages, structured bills of materials, and engineering change order workflows.
Demonstrated ability to integrate manufacturing and assembly principles into active design reviews.
Professional proficiency in both English and French is required.
Culture & Benefits
Work on mission-critical autonomous defense systems with real-world impact.
Take direct ownership of release and manufacturing transfer standards for high-performance defense airframes.
Collaborate closely with design engineers during the early development cycle.
Contribute to fast-scaling, hardware-centric production programs with high technical impact.
