What you will do
- Develop features and engineering capabilities for customer-facing products.
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from requirements discussions through cloud deployment.
- Support highly available products through an on-call rotation.
- Provide tools that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineers across squads on technologies, patterns, and engineering approaches.
- Support and mentor more junior engineers within the squad.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience developing maintainable web applications using design and implementation best practices.
- Experience with Node, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and web application frameworks.
- Experience with browser testing tools such as BrowserStack and with test-driven development.
- Experience provisioning infrastructure in AWS.
- Strong focus on software quality, test-first development, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and drive improvements within the squad and wider engineering group.
Nice to have
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and using Terraform.
- Experience with Redux, Scully, Cypress, or Nest.js.
- Exposure to the payments industry, including cards and payment schemes.
- Exposure to PCI-DSS.
