QC Technician - Lamination (Marine Manufacturing)

Salary: $23.02–$27.55 per hour

What you will do

• Perform quality control activities across lamination, fabrication, assembly, and water-test operations, primarily supporting water testing.
• Audit departmental work areas and obtain required inspections and buy-offs.
• Read production schedules, technical prints, procedures, work instructions, and special instructions.
• Maintain quality records and provide required computer-based information.
• Identify short stocks, report issues, and support training and continuous improvement activities.
• Work safely with hazardous chemicals, suspended loads, heavy objects, and required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Work experience in the field and knowledge of hand tools and mechanical objects.
• Working knowledge of at least three relevant production areas; electrical, mechanical, and water-test systems are strongly preferred.
• Effective written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and train others.
• Ability to work extended hours and in dusty, hot environments while lifting, bending, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to complete OSHA-related questionnaires and testing and wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Completion of an Internal Auditor course.
• PACE or ISO participation.
• Leadership experience and knowledge of quality-system documentation.
