Creative Team Lead (AI & Performance Marketing)

Location: Remote from Portugal; Lisbon listed as the location.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and scale an AI-driven creative design team from 3 to 6 people.
• Own task distribution, capacity planning, production workflows, quality control, and deadlines.
• Develop creative concepts, hooks, and visual directions for performance marketing campaigns.
• Build creative testing loops by tracking winning concepts, analyzing failures, and applying performance data to new iterations.
• Evaluate AI models and image-generation platforms, run R&D, and maintain prompt and style libraries.
• Collaborate with creative producers, marketers, copywriters, media buyers, video editors, and the Generative AI Pipeline Engineer on workflows and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading creative or design teams in digital marketing.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, project management, quality-control, and deadline-management skills.
• Strong visual craft across composition, lighting, color, typography, and anatomy.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to connect AI outputs to traditional design workflows.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI image platforms such as Figma Weave, Higgsfield, Magnific, Runway, or similar, including identifying and correcting visual artifacts.
• Solid understanding of static advertising for Google, Meta, and other paid media channels, plus fluent spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Portfolio of performance marketing creatives and photorealistic AI-generated work, including examples shipped under leadership.
• Experience with high-CPA verticals such as home improvement, insurance, health, legal, or finance.
• Experience creating visuals for North American audiences.
• Understanding of how static visuals feed video production pipelines.
