Avionics Integration Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, United States; hybrid schedule with 20% travel to Hanscom AFB and Seattle

What you will do

• Support avionics and systems engineering across requirements generation, design, integration, modification, testing, airworthiness, production, sustainment, deployment, operations, and divestiture.
• Evaluate aircraft modification and integration approaches, subsystem designs, trade-offs, technical risks, and mission requirements.
• Support the integration of avionics, embedded computers, software, maintenance systems, integrated diagnostics, and electronic support equipment.
• Apply systems engineering processes for interfaces, interoperability, configuration audits, technical reviews, verification, validation, certification, safety, and reliability.
• Develop engineering analyses, technical documentation, briefings, reports, and program artifacts.
• Coordinate with acquisition organizations, headquarters, government laboratories, industry, universities, engineering, logistics, sustainment, and program management teams.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must hold and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in the Department of Defense, or 7 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in the Department of Defense.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems integration, including avionics, flight controls, electrical power, hydraulic-pneumatic, environmental control, aerial refueling, and auxiliary or emergency power systems.
• Experience with aircraft subsystem analysis, airworthiness, operational performance, mission requirements, sustainment, and aircraft integrity programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and independent execution skills.
