Electrical Hardware Engineer III - Avionics (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design PCBs for spacecraft primary and secondary avionics systems.
• Evaluate and select electronic components for engineering and flight avionics units.
• Develop and execute component-, board-, and system-level test procedures.
• Perform PCB, integrated avionics, environmental, qualification, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Program embedded systems, FPGAs, microcontrollers, processors, and related hardware.
• Support the systems engineering development cycle and present technical reports to avionics leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in electronics hardware development.
• Proficiency in schematic and board design using Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar tools.
• Experience using power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, and oscilloscopes to test assembled PCBs or integrated systems.
• Rapid prototyping and strong hardware debugging skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain required export authorizations under ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with computing, signal conditioning, control electronics, filtering, data acquisition, and command and data handling.
• Python test automation, PCBA inspection and rework to IPC-A-610 Class 3, and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with digital, analog, and signal-conditioning circuit design, NASA-STD 4001/4003, and MIL-STD-461 testing.
