Design/Release Engineer - Body Structures (Automotive)

Location: Troy, Michigan, USA; full-time work eligibility in the United States is required

What you will do

• Design and develop vehicle body system components and complete structural assemblies.
• Lead the integration of related subsystems into body structures.
• Define and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
• Manage body component development across performance, cost, mass, timing, and manufacturability requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to deliver project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of vehicle design experience in body, door, or platform systems.
• Broad knowledge of NHTSA and FMVSS requirements related to body structures.
• Ability to lead design teams through subsystem integration.
• Strong communication and team-building skills.
• Proof of immediate, ongoing, and valid eligibility to work full time in the United States.
