Staff Frontend Software Developer (Vue)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite

Base salary: $190,000–$250,000 per year, plus bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of customer-facing interactive web applications.
• Drive frontend technical vision, architecture, code quality, performance, scalability, observability, and security.
• Collaborate with API, Platform, Product, QA, and UI/UX teams to deliver integrated web applications.
• Mentor engineers and promote frontend best practices and continuous learning.
• Manage the application lifecycle, including production monitoring and ongoing improvements.
• Support compliance with FDA regulations and quality requirements for medical software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience building and deploying large-scale, customer-facing web applications.
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies, including Vue.js, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Experience driving technical vision, making architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Experience collaborating with product management and design teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of web security, Agile development, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and FDA compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on expertise with Vue.js and its ecosystem.
• Proficiency with AWS services.
• Experience with FDA-regulated products or another highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with medical imaging products or healthcare technologies.
