Summer Internship - Physics - 2027

What you will do

• Contribute to live client and internal projects during an 8–10 week placement starting in July 2027.
• Apply physics and scientific knowledge to solve complex real-world problems.
• Build prototypes in the laboratory and explore new areas of technology.
• Work with multidisciplinary consultants, including engineers, computer scientists, physicists, and biologists.
• Support the development of new products and technologies while learning about commercial technology consulting.
• Build collaborative relationships, demonstrate leadership, and take ownership of project work.

Requirements

• Currently studying Physics and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification, with strong A-Levels or equivalent IB qualifications.
• At least two years of the degree must be completed before the internship begins.
• Intellectual curiosity, inventiveness, and rigorous first-principles thinking.
• Commercial awareness, entrepreneurial drive, and interest in turning technologies into real-world products and ventures.
• Proactive, self-starting, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent approach with clear communication skills.
• Strategic and systems-minded thinking, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and consider commercial aspects of product development.
