Senior Manager, Society Relations, AMER

Location: Remote-first; may be based in eligible jurisdictions in the United States. Travel: approximately 15–20%, including regional and occasional global travel.

Salary: $110,000–$120,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Lead relationships with a portfolio of larger, more complex, or professionally staffed CFA societies across the Americas.
• Advise boards, executive directors, staff, and volunteer leaders on governance, business planning, organizational effectiveness, strategic growth, and member value.
• Review business plans, reports, funding requests, and performance data to assess alignment, risk, and impact.
• Develop practical improvement plans, track funded initiatives, and escalate significant governance, financial, stakeholder, or reputational risks.
• Coordinate support with Membership, Education, Advocacy, Marketing, Institutional Solutions, Communications, and Society Operations.
• Share expertise across the team and contribute to regional planning, onboarding, and consultation engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in association management, professional membership organizations, stakeholder relations, partnership management, financial services, nonprofit management, or a comparable field.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and advising senior volunteers, boards, executives, or member-led organizations.
• Experience consulting on governance, strategy, business planning, organizational effectiveness, member engagement, or volunteer leadership.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking, executive-ready communication, sound judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Ability to travel freely and work from an eligible jurisdiction in the United States.

Nice to have

• Spanish fluency.
• Certified Association Executive designation, governance credential, or equivalent association leadership experience.
