Product Director (AI)

Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland; hybrid work arrangement

Salary: €124,800–€187,200 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan

What you will do

• Define product vision, strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, measurable goals, and investment priorities for connected patient-care products and platform capabilities.
• Translate patient, clinical, customer, technical, and business needs into prioritized opportunities and direction for Engineering and Design.
• Own product outcomes from discovery and business-case development through launch readiness, adoption, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional development across mobile, embedded software, cloud, connected devices, platforms, data, AI, cybersecurity, clinical, regulatory, quality, commercial, and operations functions.
• Evaluate AI-enabled product opportunities, including quality, explainability, latency, cost, safety, security, privacy, and responsible use.
• Build Galway as a product leadership centre and develop Product Management practices, operating mechanisms, partnerships, and talent.

Requirements

• Honours Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of product management, product leadership, or equivalent experience.
• Experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, priorities, investment decisions, and measurable outcomes for complex products or portfolios.
• Experience leading highly technical, cross-functional initiatives in a global or matrixed organization.
• Technical fluency across software, mobile applications, cloud platforms, APIs, connected devices, embedded systems, data products, and AI/ML.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools and workflows in daily Product Management practice.
• Experience developing people, building team capability, or establishing product-management practices and operating mechanisms.

Nice to have

• Experience with FDA, EU MDR, ISO 13485, design reviews, risk assessments, and audit interactions.
• Experience embedding cybersecurity, privacy, reliability, and safety-by-design principles into product architecture and backlog decisions.
• Background in healthcare, medical devices, digital health, patient monitoring, connected devices, or another regulated and safety-critical industry.
• Experience with patient-facing mobile applications, embedded software, connected-device ecosystems, data interoperability, analytics, or developer platforms.
