Accountant (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own month-end and quarter-end accounting activities for operating costs, payroll, employee-related costs, share-based compensation, fixed and intangible assets, and leases.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, capitalisation schedules, supporting schedules, financial reporting, and assigned SEC disclosures.
• Analyse cash transactions, large accounting datasets, balance sheet movements, and P&L results to identify exceptions and root causes.
• Apply U.S. GAAP to non-routine transactions and maintain high-quality ICFR and SOX controls, documentation, and testing readiness.
• Work with Finance and business stakeholders to improve upstream data, processes, and controls, while supporting audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Use AI, automation, and analytical tools to improve accounting speed, quality, and scalability while maintaining governance and human judgement.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
• ACA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, and prioritisation skills.
• Hands-on experience using AI, automation, or data tools to improve work processes.
• Strong understanding of audit, ICFR, and SOX requirements, with experience working with internal and external auditors.
• Ability to collaborate with a global, cross-functional team across multiple time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience at a leading professional services firm or U.S. public company, including SEC reporting and SOX exposure.
• Experience in digital assets, payments, fintech, technology, or financial services; blockchain knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or another large-scale ERP, as well as analytical, AI, or automation tools.
