Master Thesis, 30 HP: Aircraft-Level Systems Modelling and Engineering Workflows

What you will do

• Investigate how functional and logical systems modelling can support engineering change analysis.
• Work with representative system-model information and engineering change cases related to functional chains, logical interfaces, and information flows.
• Compare model representations, model views, and ways of using information across change cases.
• Analyse the information engineers need to understand the effects of changes.
• Identify needs for tool support and compare engineering workflows.
• Demonstrate selected change cases with a small prototype if time permits; a complete prototype is not required.

Requirements

• Currently completing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Development, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
• About to begin a 30 HP master thesis project.
• Interest in systems engineering, systems modelling, model-based engineering, or simulation is beneficial.
• Previous aerospace or industrial experience is not required.
• Passing security vetting is required; additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance.
