12 Months Internship - Propulsion Test Engineer (Rocket Engines)

Location: Kiruna, Norrbotten, Sweden. Relocation support is available, including housing in Kiruna.

A fast-growing aerospace company developing sustainable launch solutions for small and medium-sized satellites and constellations in Low Earth Orbit.

What you will do

• Plan and conduct development and verification test campaigns for liquid rocket engines and their subsystems.
• Prepare, operate, troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain propulsion test benches.
• Develop procedures and processes that support safe test operations.
• Design and build test benches for propulsion testing.
• Work with propulsion development engineers on test execution and system verification.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's engineering program in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience developing or testing complex systems, preferably under cryogenic, high-pressure, or high-temperature conditions.
• Ability to design fluid and mechanical systems from concept through realization and commissioning.
• Ability to maintain focus during prolonged work in high-stress environments.
• Physical dexterity for confined-space work and ability to lift and carry 25 kg.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with fluid systems and piping or tubing.
• Experience with a programming language such as Python, Matlab, C, C#, or Cobol.
• Knowledge of hazardous systems, including cryogenic, flammable, or explosive systems.
