Backend Software Engineer (Python/AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; onsite, fully in-person

Base salary: $165,000–$250,000 per year, plus Series A equity

What you will do

• Build and ship backend systems across product and infrastructure using Python.
• Design and improve agentic AI workflows for insurance claims processing.
• Own complex engineering problems end to end and deliver under fast deadlines.
• Raise the technical bar through direct, high-feedback collaboration.

Requirements

• 1–7 years of software engineering experience; strong internships may be considered for newer graduates.
• Strong Python and backend fundamentals.
• High agency, ownership, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work fully onsite in San Francisco, California.
