Senior Solution Architect, China

What you will do

• Translate China business needs into technical solutions integrated with global platforms, systems, data environments, and AI architectures.
• Own the China-focused solution lifecycle, including architecture blueprints, technical documentation, delivery, and architectural accountability.
• Design secure, scalable, maintainable, compliant solutions using cloud architectures, SaaS, RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Help determine when China-specific capabilities are required versus when global or enterprise teams should lead delivery, maximizing reuse of global platforms.
• Contribute China-specific requirements to global design reviews and platform roadmaps while maintaining global interoperability.
• Govern vendor-delivered solutions, including configuration changes, enhancements, integrations, compliance, and alignment with long-term platform strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience delivering digital solutions in China, preferably in complex or multinational enterprise environments.
• Experience designing China-local technology solutions, including WeChat, WeCom, and Alibaba Cloud, with integration into enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of China’s IT landscape, local vendors, platforms, data regulations, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, packaged SaaS implementation, system integration, RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or delivering AI/ML solutions using platforms such as Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Baidu, Alibaba Qwen, or Tencent.
• Experience evaluating AI use cases and contributing to data readiness, governance, responsible AI, or AI-enabled business capabilities.
