Accounting Analyst (Energy)

Location: 6750 Building, Ayala, Makati City, Philippines; hybrid work model with remote work several days a week

What you will do

• Provide general accounting and reporting services to regional supply and trading finance organizations across Asia Pacific, London, and Australia.
• Settle payables, issue invoices, validate supporting documentation, and record accruals in SAP/JDE and other enterprise systems.
• Account for secondary transaction costs and hedging instruments in trading systems such as SRA/Endur and the ERP.
• Prepare cash payment and receipt forecasts and perform month-end general ledger, trading system-to-ERP, and inventory reconciliations.
• Resolve intercompany imbalances, update pricing and quantities with front- and middle-office teams, and handle counterparty inquiries.
• Monitor controls, support SOX testing and financial audits, and develop corrective actions and accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least five years of overall work experience.
• Strong oral and written communication, analytical, teamwork, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to work proactively in a results-oriented and customer-focused environment.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Makati City, Philippines setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or JDE.
• Exposure to general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
