Staff Accountant

What you will do

• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare journal entries, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including timely reporting, proper cutoffs, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and summaries in line with accounting policies.
• Identify inefficiencies and support process improvements, automation initiatives, system enhancements, and standardization.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory filings and internal and external audits while following internal controls and data security policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accountancy.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in reconciliation, audit, or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in financial reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and accounting systems.
• Analytical, organized, and communicative, with the ability to resolve complex discrepancies, multitask, and handle confidential information.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent accounting certification.
• Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in credit card processing, banking, financial services, Big 4, or public accounting audit.
