Salary: €59,300–€98,800 per year

What you will do

• Identify, recruit, and develop high-impact content across translational and clinical research.
• Evaluate manuscripts and manage rigorous, fair, and efficient peer review.
• Select and collaborate with expert reviewers while providing thoughtful guidance to authors.
• Commission and edit Reviews, Perspectives, and other front-matter content.
• Contribute to editorial strategy, journal positioning, digital content, and cross-journal innovation projects.
• Build relationships with the global scientific and clinical community and represent the journal at conferences and institutional visits.

Requirements

• PhD, MD, or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline.
• Broad interest across translational and clinical research.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to evaluate diverse areas of science and medicine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international team.
• Interest in scientific publishing, communication, and emerging digital trends.

Nice to have

• Previous editorial experience.
• Established research networks, particularly for more senior candidates.
