What you will do

• Conduct original research into the immunological basis of sleep disorders.
• Develop techniques and apparatus for collecting and analysing research data.
• Collaborate with NHS partners and industrial collaborators on translational research.
• Draft and submit publications to refereed journals.
• Lead and contribute to research grant bids.

Requirements

• PhD in immunology or a related field.
• Extensive, demonstrable experience in B cell biology supported by first-author publications.
• Extensive industrial experience in biosciences and/or industrial R&D.
• Current theoretical and practical knowledge of immunoparasitology.
• Strong technical skills in immunoparasitology and in vivo models of infection.
• Evidence of leading projects and teams through first-author publications and/or demonstrable industrial deliverables.

Nice to have

• Experience working with African trypanosomes in mice at PhD level.
• Experience working in industrial R&D.
• High-impact first-author research outputs.
