Senior Technical Specialist - Stem Cell

What you will do

• Lead the development, optimisation, and implementation of stem cell culture technologies.
• Culture, maintain, expand, and troubleshoot stem cell, primary, and recombinant cell lines.
• Manage multiple cell culture programmes and deliver high-quality cell batches against project timelines.
• Apply cryopreservation techniques to maintain cell consistency, reproducibility, and long-term integrity.
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting cellular assays and culture-related challenges.
• Collaborate with scientists, project teams, suppliers, research partners, and clients across departments and global locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Significant experience in stem cell or advanced cell culture environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience culturing, maintaining, and troubleshooting stem cell lines.
• Strong knowledge of cell culture technologies, cellular assays, and cryopreservation methodologies.
• Proven scientific problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, organisation, and time management skills.
• Collaborative communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with pluripotent stem cells, including iPSC or ESC culture and differentiation workflows.
• Experience with automated liquid handling platforms and high-throughput technologies.
• Knowledge of molecular biology techniques, cell line engineering, generation, and characterisation.
• Experience with client-facing scientific projects in a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment.
