Associate Director of R&D Finance

Location: Onsite/hybrid in Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: $137,000–$191,100 per year

What you will do

• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for late-stage development.
• Partner with project managers and project teams to resolve financial issues and support business decisions.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain financial templates and models.
• Control Development headcount and track development project spending.
• Lead variance analysis and identify improvements in accruals, reporting, and financial analysis.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, problem-solving, and accounting skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with excellent computer proficiency.
• Excellent written and oral communication, time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and operate effectively in an intense, entrepreneurial environment.

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA designation.
