Lead Design Engineer (OFC Bearing)

What you will do

• Design, optimize, validate, and continuously improve bearing systems and related components for oil-free centrifugal compressor products.
• Perform engineering analysis, simulation, testing, and design verification to assess performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other product development deliverables.
• Support new product development from concept through production release, including design reviews and technical risk assessments.
• Lead component qualification, supplier technical evaluation, and localization or regionalization initiatives.
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, develop corrective solutions, and support production and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years with a master’s degree, or a Ph.D. in gas bearings, rotor dynamics, or high-speed centrifugal systems.
• Strong knowledge of centrifugal compressor structure and design principles, especially oil-free compressor structure design.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools and solid knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with digital simulation tools, FMEA methodologies, testing, and technical problem solving.
• Effective communication skills in English.
