Principal Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and implement complex functionality from architecture through delivery for the WFM/Time product domain.
• Own service design, data strategy, and system integration patterns across SQL Server, Azure CosmosDB, and other NoSQL technologies.
• Set technical standards for AI-generated code, including review criteria, testing expectations, and quality gates.
• Use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, and other AI coding tools in daily development workflows.
• Provide production support, investigate third-level escalations, and serve as a technical contact for product owners and external teams.
• Coach engineers on architecture, product thinking, problem decomposition, and stack-specific development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant web application and services development experience.
• 10+ years of experience with large enterprise or e-business systems.
• Professional experience using AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the development workflow.
• Strong skills in Azure, microservice architecture, C#, SQL, unit testing, .NET, JavaScript, and HTML.
• Experience with Angular, Azure CosmosDB or other NoSQL databases, pub/sub and asynchronous messaging, Docker, and MVVM.
• Ability to make architectural decisions, solve complex problems independently, communicate with non-technical stakeholders, and mentor engineers across multiple levels.

Nice to have

• Experience developing systems with 500+ database tables.
• Experience with an AI-first or AI Development Lifecycle model.
• Agile/Scrum experience, including work with distributed teams.
• BS or BA degree.
