Staff Engineer, Supply Chain (Aerospace)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site. The role includes travel up to 50%, including international travel.

Salary: $170,000–$260,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees.

What you will do

• Audit supplier processes and identify opportunities to improve cost, lead times, and quality.
• Conduct on-site supplier audits and lead root cause investigations for quality and performance issues.
• Assess supplier capabilities and provide technical guidance on specifications, manufacturing processes, standards, and quality measures.
• Monitor supplier delivery, quality, and cost metrics and implement corrective action and continuous improvement plans.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to support uninterrupted production.
• Support new product introduction by ensuring suppliers meet quality and delivery requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.
• Experience working with suppliers or production lines, preferably in aerospace.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA; PLM or ERP systems; and Excel/data analysis.
• Confidently read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Understanding of machining, welding, and forming processes.
• Experience leading root cause investigations using 8D and 5 Whys.
