Accounting Manager

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end month-end close, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis, reporting mappings, and the close results package.
• Review subscription and non-subscription revenue, oversee billing and collections, and own revenue recognition judgments under ASC 606.
• Manage ARR and CARR reporting and reconcile bookings, billings, recognized revenue, and general ledger activity.
• Oversee accounts payable, employee expenses, domestic and international payroll, commissions, accruals, tax compliance, and audit readiness.
• Maintain expense forecasts, amortization schedules, accrual schedules, accounting SOPs, close checklists, and task repositories.
• Manage and develop a small analyst team while extending AI-powered automation across close, billing, and reconciliation processes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a full close cycle and hands-on balance sheet reconciliation.
• Strong general ledger experience across payroll, accruals, revenue, and financial statement flows, with experience managing and developing accountants.
• Subscription revenue recognition experience under ASC 606.
• Daily hands-on QuickBooks Online and Stripe experience is required.
• Advanced Google Sheets skills, including pivots, lookups, nested logic, and data validation.
• Current practical AI and automation experience in accounting is required.

Nice to have

• CPA qualification or active CPA candidacy.
• SaaS or technology industry experience.
• Salesforce experience and exposure to modern expense, HRIS, or close-management platforms.
