Accountant (General Ledger) (Fintech)

What you will do

• Deliver timely month-end close activities, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Investigate account discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
• Prepare account analyses, variance reviews, and reporting to support business decisions.
• Improve accounting processes, control effectiveness, and reporting efficiency with cross-functional partners.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• At least 5 years of combined general accounting and/or audit experience.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and complex balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including discrepancy investigation and resolution.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP and understanding of transaction flows into the general ledger.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills is required.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant designation.
• Experience supporting multinational or global business operations.
• Knowledge of process improvement, workflow documentation, and financial controls in shared services or complex accounting environments.
