Workforce Development Trainer

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; first-shift schedule with in-person quarterly training sessions.

What you will do

• Design curricula, lesson plans, and training materials for workforce development and career services programs.
• Deliver interactive training on job readiness, technical and soft skills, industry-specific topics, policies, procedures, and new processes.
• Lead new-hire onboarding and hands-on training for EmployNV, WORCS, Dropbox, and other case management systems.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback, adapt instruction for different learning styles, and maintain training documentation.
• Collaborate with leadership, HR, Career Coaches, Business Service Staff, QAM, specialists, employers, and external partners to align training with labor market needs.
• Report on training outcomes, staff performance, and program effectiveness while keeping content current.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or a related field preferred, or equivalent instructional design and facilitation experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in Title 1 WIOA services, workforce development, adult education, or a related training role.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, organization, and project management skills.
• Experience managing diverse learner groups and adapting teaching methods to different skill levels.
• Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and training software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and learning management systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of local labor market trends and employer expectations.
• Certifications in industry skills or instructional training.
• Bilingual skills.
