Program Field Integration Engineer (SATCOM)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Virginia and Duluth, Georgia. Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support the design, integration, modernization, and lifecycle evolution of mission-critical SATCOM systems, RF infrastructure, and ground networks.
• Update system designs, technical baselines, implementation plans, configuration documentation, drawings, rack elevations, and cable interconnect diagrams.
• Design and implement hardware, software, networking, and RF system updates for customer and sustainment requirements.
• Develop maintenance plans, test procedures, acceptance criteria, and verification methods.
• Lead system integration, verification, validation, acceptance testing, and certification activities.
• Analyze test results, prepare technical reports, support customer engagements, and resolve technical issues with engineering, operations, logistics, field service, and depot organizations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in systems integration engineering, design engineering, integration and test, field engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience with complex communications, RF, networking, satellite communications, ground-based systems, or mission-critical antenna systems.
• Knowledge of requirements management, configuration management, technical baseline control, and engineering change management.
• Experience developing engineering drawings, technical data packages, test plans, verification methods, and technical reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance are required for this U.S. Government position.

Nice to have

• Background in satellite communications, RF infrastructure, antenna systems, ground terminals, and network architectures.
• Experience with technical refresh, modernization, technology insertion, sustainment, reliability improvement, and obsolescence management.
• Experience supporting design reviews, technical interchange meetings, field implementations, and geographically dispersed operational sites.
• Experience conducting trade studies, maintainability analyses, and technical evaluations.
