Senior Product Manager, Data Platform (AI)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.

Salary: CAD 122,000–179,300 starting base salary, with offers potentially exceeding this range based on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Own the vision and roadmap for storage, compute, orchestration, and workflow connectivity across the analytics data platform.
• Define a unified, self-serve experience for provisioning storage, compute, and access on demand.
• Set reliability, performance, cost, security, and compliance standards for business-critical analytics and AI workloads.
• Partner with distributed engineering teams and platform users to identify friction and prioritize improvements.
• Lead product requirements, technical discussions, quarterly planning, prioritization, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Measure platform adoption, provisioning time, reliability, performance, and cost while supporting teams through documentation and product guidance.

Requirements

• 4+ years of product management experience, including infrastructure or platform products at scale.
• Experience with data platforms, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, or comparable technical products.
• Ability to align cross-functional and globally distributed teams without formal authority.
• Technical depth in storage, compute, query engines, orchestration, scale, performance, and cost trade-offs.
• Experience with product discovery, data-driven decision-making, end-to-end delivery, and large-scale migrations.
• Ability to work in or be available for the Toronto, Canada location, including possible in-person onboarding or identity verification.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Trino, Athena, Kubernetes, EKS, Iceberg, Snowflake, Airflow, Temporal, or Metaflow.
• Experience with big-data access management, platform observability, cost and performance management, Looker, notebooks, or query workbenches.
• Experience leading multi-region or data-residency migrations and conducting build-versus-buy or vendor assessments.
