Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (React/React Native)

Location: Remote within the United States. Most roles can be performed remotely within the country of employment; occasional in-person work or onboarding may be required.

Base pay: $195,000–$255,000 per year in CA, WA, NY, NJ, and CT; $173,000–$233,000 per year in other U.S. states.

What you will do

• Break down large projects into deliverable phases and coordinate implementation with engineers across teams.
• Build and evolve web and mobile product experiences across Affirm’s Marketplace and App Experience domain.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Design, develop, and launch scalable APIs and software components.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, support availability, and participate in on-call and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to engineering growth through code reviews, feedback, and interviewing.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile applications with native or cross-platform technologies such as React Native.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to design multi-component solutions and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Strong debugging, code review, communication, and collaboration skills; equivalent practical experience or a related bachelor’s degree.
