Senior Software Engineer (React/Python)

What you will do

• Design engineering specifications, software architectures, and scalable application solutions.
• Develop, review, and maintain code that meets standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Build full-stack applications using React, Python, PostgreSQL or BigQuery, GraphQL, REST APIs, and database views.
• Implement asynchronous processing and messaging with Celery and GCP Pub/Sub.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, create and estimate stories, manage tasks, and monitor delivery through production.
• Mentor associate and intermediate software engineers and support technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience with algorithms, data structures, design patterns, scalable systems, and system architecture.
• At least 5 years of experience with modern programming languages, including Python, Java, JavaScript, or related technologies.
• Experience with React or Angular, web services such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON, and cloud platforms including GCP or AWS.
• Experience designing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable applications and translating mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working software.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, software development lifecycle practices, code reviews, testing, source control, and mentoring junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Healthcare application development experience.
• Machine learning experience, especially in natural language understanding, machine translation, or deep neural networks.
• GCP certification.
