Location: 251 E. Huron, Chicago, Illinois, United States; full-time night shift

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of general medicine patients.
• Assess patients, identify outcomes, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate and document responses in the health record.
• Develop individualized, age-specific and culturally sensitive care plans, including patient advocacy, education and discharge support.
• Collaborate with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams while communicating accurate information during handoffs.
• Promote patient safety, delegate and supervise appropriate interventions, and escalate situations requiring further care.
• Support professional development, mentoring, quality improvement, shared leadership and innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school or college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Current Basic Life Support CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Analytical ability and effective oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, keyboard proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in difficult situations.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
