Phlebotomist Floater

Location: Itasca, Illinois, United States, with travel to Hoffman Estates, Niles, Aurora, Chicago, Elgin, Willowbrook, Woodridge, Westchester, and Oak Park. Work schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays.

Salary: $17.50–$24.50 per hour, plus an additional $2.00 per hour float incentive and mileage reimbursement.

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen logs.
• Enter patient information, process billing details, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel between additional clinics and locations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, an accredited training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or with a team.
• Ability to work overtime, pass a standardized color blindness test, and be at least 21 years old.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of phlebotomy experience.
• Two years of pediatric experience.
• Proven customer service experience.
