Accountant - Financial Reporting

What you will do

• Compile and review financial data for accuracy and reporting.
• Prepare and complete internal management financial reporting in line with corporate policies and standards.
• Prepare and evaluate components of external financial statements under GAAP, SEC, and statutory accounting principles.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, annual and quarterly financial reports, and statutory financial statements.
• Monitor regulatory financial reporting changes and support timely filings with state insurance departments and the NAIC.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or comparable professional education; CPA or CMA designation is relevant.
• Knowledge of accounting theory and practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and financial reporting software such as TM1, Essbase, or Hyperion.
