Staff Accountant (Hospitality)

What you will do

• Record accurate and timely journal entries for the month-end general ledger close.
• Prepare financial statements and perform variance analysis for assigned areas.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and month-end schedules.
• Research and resolve reconciling items and customer inquiries.
• Maintain financial reporting and internal controls in accordance with GAAP.
• Support ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and cross-departmental financial inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; an Accounting degree is strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a month-end close or general ledger environment.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and linked spreadsheets.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously under pressure.
• Ability to work in Orlando, Florida.

Nice to have

• Experience in the timeshare or hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access, similar reporting tools, or PeopleSoft.
