Technical Product Manager (Workflow Orchestration)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; flexible schedules include work-from-home options.

Salary: $116,500–$225,300 annually, depending on work location, experience, knowledge, and position level.

What you will do

• Lead product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a workflow orchestration platform.
• Research stakeholder needs and translate customer, market, and business insights into product direction.
• Author detailed technical specifications covering system context, data flows, workflows, actions, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
• Build prototypes, proof-of-concept scripts, lightweight automation, and code changes to validate assumptions.
• Work as an embedded engineering partner through design reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and pull request reviews.
• Define product metrics, analyze data, and break large initiatives into shippable increments while managing scope and quality risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience with demonstrated technical depth.
• Ability to read, understand, write, and review code and experience working in codebases or engineering workflows.
• Experience authoring technical specifications, conducting customer research, and delivering large-scale enterprise projects.
• Experience with large-scale workflow orchestration and technical platform products.
• Strong delivery and execution, stakeholder communication, data analysis, systems thinking, and cross-functional engineering partnership skills.
• Relevant professional experience; a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with spec-driven or design-document-driven development.
• Familiarity with Temporal or other durable execution platforms.
• Experience with SaaS products, APIs, microservices, Git, CI/CD, and pull request workflows.
• Background in A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, Agile methodologies, Jira, or Confluence.
